Vectren and Electrical Safety Inspections

If the power has been off in a home/business for over 30 days, Vectren requires a city inspection before they will restore power. First, the home must have a full electrical safety inspection by a licensed electrician. A few things we look for are ground fault receptacles, smoke detectors, broken devices and improper wiring. We will walk with you through your home and discuss any issues that we find. We then obtain a permit and make the repairs. Next, a city inspector will verify all repairs are made and make sure the rest of your home meets all other codes. After the home has passed inspection, Vectren will then restore the power.
